If you seek to advance your understanding of the yoga practice, aspire to teach or currently teach and wish to hone your skills, this program is for you. There are no experience or knowledge prerequisites for this program and students of all levels are encouraged to apply. Our Yoga Teacher Training Program fully prepares each student with the solid foundation to safely and confidently teach yoga with skill and integrity, while celebrating his or her own individuality. Certification The Yoga Teacher Training + Certification Program at Pedretti Power Yoga LLC is a Registered School with Yoga Alliance. The Yoga Teacher Training Program at Pedretti Power Yoga LLC meets the minimum standards as described by Yoga Alliance to become a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) at the 200 hour level. YOGA 101 Beginner Workshop Sunday 9/7/2014   ~ 10:30 am - 12:30 pm ~ New to Yoga? Want to try Yoga? THIS two hour workshop covers the history of Yoga, basic poses, alignment, and breathing techniques so you can begin practicing yoga with the knowledge and skills that you need to stay injury free and to take your practice to the next level! This is your opportunity to find out how yoga can benefit you: - Relieve stress and anxiety - Enhance mental focus - Sleep better - Challenge yourself - Increase flexibility - Build strength - Improve balance - Detox. COST: $20.00 ($25 at the door) - This workshop is for beginners - all levels welcome.   `We recommend you do not eat 2-3 hours prior to any Yoga practice. Core Power AND Inversions Workshop  Saturday  9/13/2014   1:00 pm - 3:00 pm  NEW TECHNIQUES TO TURN YOU UPSIDE DOWN WITH EASE. Uncover the hidden power within you as you lengthen & strengthen your back & core, free your hips, and tone the muscles of your mind. Learn to let being upside-down calm & ground you. Work with building blocks to experience the following poses:  * Handstand  * Headstand  * Shoulderstand  * Forearm Balance


Developing steadiness & strength in the core is essential to a solid, safe yoga (asana) practice. The underlying cause of many limitations, such as pain in the lower back, shoulders, hips, slouched posture, suppressed emotions and poor digestion, is often traced back to a lack of awareness and ability to properly engage the core muscles. Learn what defines the ‘the core’ and how to apply these muscles effectively in order to achieve maximum stability in every movement/pose. Moving from your center is a foundational key when practicing yoga, enhancing balance and overall alignment. Gain a better understanding of how to utilize your core strength and ignite the central powerhouse of your body.

This workshop is open to all levels. A working knowledge of downward dog is necessary.  120 Minute Cost: $20.00($25 at the door)


FREE GUIDED MEDITATION CLASS ~ September 20th 1:00 – 1:45 p.m.. “KIDS/Family YOGA” September 20th  2:15-3:00 p.m. Bring your entire family to yoga & practice together with Allie! This 45 minute (non-heated) class presents an opportunity to cultivate emotional & physical bonding within your family and the community. "Family Yoga" includes postures for the whole family, including age- and intensity level-appropriate variations to accommodate all of the students in the class & make sure that everyone has fun. Bring anyone you love and have fun! All yogis age 4-12 are welcome in this class. *WAIVER MUST BE ON FILE FOR EACH STUDENT (COST: $7 drop-in for adult -> FREE for children age 4-12. HIP Opening and Backbend Yoga Workshop Saturday 9/27/2014 ~ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm   Hip, Hip, Hurray! It is said that we carry emotions in certain regions of the body; the hips are one such area. By devoting an entire 2 hours to warming up and opening the hips, each participant is given ample opportunity to let go of muscular tension. In addition to releasing traumas stored in the pelvic region & psoas (major hip flexor), having greater mobility and increased flexibility in the hips is the gateway to safely going deeper in backbends and forward folds. As the largest joints of the human body, the hips are a dense, congested area occupied by connective tissues, muscles, bones and don’t forget all those stored emotions.


BACKBENDING POSES – When people age they tend to contract and pull themselves in. But yoga, and especially the spinal work we do in yoga, can actually reverse the aging process. YOU are only as young as your spine is supple! Your energy system is centralized along your spine, and backbends remove blocks of energy stored there. They ignite electricity in your spine and bring your whole being to a healthier realm. Backbends warm the system, increase energy and invigorate us!


Allie will lead you through a combination of supine, seated and standing poses, along with some restorative hip openers to progressively go deeper and into more challenging poses in ways that are safe, fun and refreshing! Cost $20.00* ($25 at the door).


Yoga 4 Runners Workshop Sunday 9/28/2014 ~ 10:30 am - 12:30 pm   Improve strength, flexibility & focus. Increase physical and mental endurance & balance. Avoid injury & recover faster. Many athletes are turned off by yoga because it’s too hard, too easy or out of sync with their training. Yoga’s emphasis on form & breathing will translate to increased efficiency & focus in your sport & your life. In this workshop 120 minute workshop, appropriate for all levels of yoga & athletic experience, we’ll learn poses to increase range of motion and flexibility, especially in the hips &hamstrings. We’ll spend time cultivating sport-specific core strength and playing with balance. We’ll examine yoga as mental training, learning how incorporating yoga’s approach to the body and mind can make us better athletes. COST: $20.00 ($25 at the door)

*Pre-registration is required for workshops and full payment is required within the week of registration. Workshops are limited to a certain number of people. Student may cancel up to 48 hours before workshops. Workshops are subject to cancellation 48 hours in advance if registration is zero. Students must be 13 or older. All children 13-18 are require to have parental or guardian signature on file.
